Visitor parking at Thanet Mental Health Unit

Starting on Monday 23 August 2021, building works are being carried out to the Emergency Department at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital (QEQM).
Whilst these works take place the visitors parking directly opposite Woodchurch ward at the Thanet Mental Health Unit will be affected. However, there are other parking facilities available on the hospital site that visitors are able to use.
It is also necessary that whilst these works take place that ambulances take a slightly altered route coming in and out of the hospital. The road will be widened to accommodate this. The developer has advised that they are hopeful the road will reopen again in Spring 2022 and the whole build is scheduled until Autumn 2022.
