Trust staff join Heart Kent Radio to celebrate NHS 70th birthday

Bob StClair-Baker, Occupational Therapist; Louise Jessup, Peer Support Lead; Kirsten Lawson, Interim Assistant Medical Director for Community Recovery Care Group and Chaplain David Stedman were interviewed by the duo who talked about how wonderful the NHS is as an employer and the variety of roles that are available. The interview comes a day after NHS England launched its recruitment campaign #WeAreTheNHS to highlight the wide range of roles available, including nursing, and to encourage people to think about a career in the NHS.
Louise said: “We were warmly received and it was great that staff from a mental health trust were invited to be on the show, particularly because mental health is on the national agenda.”
Heart are celebrating the NHS’s 70th birthday by joining forces with the NHS Choir, NHS staff, ITV and some famous faces in music by attempting a world record for the most people singing live on a radio broadcast.
