TABLO Project welcomes international delegates to Canterbury

Canterbury Cathedral Lodge welcomed 200 delegates on Thursday 21 June as a culmination of a three year project called TABLO.
International partners from seven countries had worked on this project for over three years to increase the use of the arts in the treatment of long-term conditions. This project has developed a high quality on-line resource, now publicly available for anyone who wishes to use it.
The conference reached out to the wider community to share the learning that has been gathered and brought together all who have been involved for this culmination event.
The event had a packed agenda of learning and interactivity. Hosts of the event, Kent and Medway Partnership Trust (KMPT), were joined by their project partners, representatives from across the country as well as two special guests from the Royal College of Nursing.
The TABLO (Training staff in the use of Arts for the Benefit of patients with Long-Term Conditions) project is co funded by the European Union with support from the European Commission. It has brought together representatives from seven other countries to develop an e-learning toolkit of vocational training which will help integrate arts into every day physical and mental healthcare when working with people who have long term conditions.
