More people in the south east accessing new and better treatments through participation in clinical research
Date added: 23 July 2018
More people across Kent, Surrey and Sussex are being given access to new and better treatments through taking part in clinical research.
Each year, the Research Activity League Table is published by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network (CRN), which details research activity across all NHS trusts in England. The table provides a picture of how much clinical research is happening, where, in what types of NHS organisation, and involving how many patients.
Research helps to provide more opportunities for patients to help develop the care and treatment of the future.
It is an exciting time for research in KMPT with research involvement increasing across Kent and Medway. We are participating in more industry studies than ever before, helping to develop our research team further.
Our Research and Development team has a focus on mental health, dementias and neurodegeneration and are looking for people to participate in current research studies for mental health and dementia studies.
