Local charity donates toiletries to Jasmine ward
Date added: 18 December 2021
A local charity has kindly donated toiletries to our patients on Jasmine ward; a 16-bed inpatient ward in Dartford which provides care for older adults with mental health needs.
Vilma, Occupational therapy assistant, who accepted the kind donation, said: "We have been fortunate to receive the donation of toiletries from the Dartford Deeds Not Words charity. They will be distributed to our patients admitted who may be without some toiletries or who don't have relatives who can provide these.
"The toiletries are also given as bingo prizes during our group activities. We are extremely grateful for their generous donation and for supporting our patients on the ward."
The Dartford Deeds Not Words Foundation was set up by Dartford residents and volunteers Kelly Grehan and Sarah Cook. They run the foundation with the support of local businesses, clubs, churches and shops in Dartford who act as drop off points for donations.
