On 5 June KMPT will take part in an event at Maidstone Hospital between 10am and midday in partnership with Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust featuring a thank you board to celebrate volunteers and recognize their achievements.
On Thursday 7 June the voluntary services team will host an event in Priority House reception, Maidstone between 11am - 2pm including a cake sale and raffle.
Helen Collins, KMPT Voluntary Services Manager, said:
“We are so proud of our volunteers for the vital work they do to support both staff and service users and on Wednesday 6 June volunteers and staff will be celebrating together with a cream tea at Godinton House in Ashford. If you’d like to chat about volunteering with KMPT and making a difference to people affected by mental ill health please get in touch.“
Hundreds of events will be taking place across the country to mark Volunteers' Week. The annual campaign, which was established in 1984, recognises the contribution volunteers make to our communities every day.
