What is Give a Little Joy?

As we approach the holiday season, many of our patients face challenges that can overshadow the joy of the festive season. This is especially true for inpatients who cannot spend the holidays with family, friends or loved ones.

Your generous donations will help us to give a gift to every inpatient spending the holidays on one of our wards or rehabilitation units. We want to make sure that each and every inpatient will experience the warmth and comfort of the season. With any remaining funds, we will provide support to patients who are facing hardship – no matter where they are in their journey with using our mental health services.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference to patients facing mental illness.

How to Give a Little Joy

Buy a bauble for our virtual tree

Donate by buying a bauble for our virtual tree. You can leave a message and a picture with your bauble. These can be in celebration, support or remembrance of a loved one. You can also make a donation as a gift to someone and send them an e-card.

Donate your own gifts

If you have any items in the list below, donate them to Give a Little Joy. We suggest that gifts have a value under £10 and are suitable for people between the ages of 18 and 65.

Things you can donate:

Toiletries: Loofahs, male or female toiletries (no aerosols), hand cream, soft towels, face cloths
Toys: Puzzle books, colouring books, playing cards, stuffed animals, fidget spinners, twiddle muffs
Food: Any type of sweets, dairy or gluten free sweet treats, instant hot chocolate
Stationery: Journals, pens, cards with festive messages
Clothes: Socks, hats
