Over the past five years, the trust has invested just under £50m in improving and upgrading its inpatient and community environments, targeting its backlog maintenance schedule and investing in information technology. The trust will continue this investment into the future in order to ensure the estate fully supports effective delivery of clinical services and positive experiences for both service users and staff, with £21m allocated to the next five years of capital investment.

The trust’s new five year capital investment programme prioritises upgrade of its older persons’ and forensic/specialist services, transformation of the community estate, information technology and continued addressing of backlog maintenance. The current draft high-level plan is attached at Annex D.
